We are looking for a friendly, reliable and energetic person to provide exceptional customer service in our busy Garden Centre Café.

The role will include both front of house work & working in the kitchen, baking and making sandwiches/paninis to order.

We are looking for someone to deliver excellent customer service, ensure customer requests are dealt with effectively and efficiently, keeping customer queues to a minimum and assisting in the serving of food. You should be able to work under pressure as part of a team within a busy café environment whilst also being able to work using your own initiative too. You’ll be serving freshly prepared meals, preparing hot drinks to order and preparing cake orders, handling the till, clearing tables, washing pots and associated cleaning.

You must ensure all health & safety standards are met including the assisting of food preparation, cleaning in the kitchen, front of house areas and all other associated department tasks.

You need to be:

- Customer focussed with great communication skills
- Helpful and friendly
- Have an interest in baking
- Punctual and hard working
- Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn
- A team player but also have the ability to work on your own initiative
- Flexible enough to cover extra shifts, cover holidays etc

Previous experience preferred but not essential as training will be given.

Part-time hours: 15 per week
