Position Overview
Apollo is a high-growth, global alternative asset manager. In our asset management business, we seek to provide our clients excess return at every point along the risk-reward spectrum from investment grade to private equity with a focus on three investing strategies: yield, hybrid, and equity. Through Athene, our retirement services business, we specialize in helping clients achieve financial security by providing a suite of retirement savings products and acting as a solutions provider to institutions.
ISGI Overview
Apollo formed the Insurance Solutions Group International (ISGI) business to provide a variety of outsourced investment management services to Apollo’s affiliated insurance companies in a closely coordinated and synergistic manner to its security selection businesses globally. ISGI seeks to meet company-specific directives around earnings, capital, ALM and risk management with a focus on improving profitability, capital efficiency, and risk exposure.
Position Overview
Primary Responsibilities- Drive analytical and project support for investment activities; construct financial models, sensitivity analyses, comparable analyses, and other financial and asset due diligence and industry research- Assist with creating investment committee memorandum- Support day to day portfolio management activity - sizing and implementation of cash and derivative trades, portfolio optimization to clients’ objectives and market conditions, P&L calculation, trading limit control- Strengthening of trading, execution, reporting processes, including the development of advanced risk analytics tool- Identify market opportunities and build market analytics - contribute detailed market updates to internal and external clients and to initiate capital-generating trading for insurance businesses- Ad hoc projects as required depending on business needs and individual skillset

Qualifications & Experience
This opportunity is open to undergraduate students in their second year or above, with an excellent record of academic achievement from a top institution- Must have achieved a 1st in their first year of university- Critical thinker with strong quantitative and analytical skills, who expresses their thoughts and ideas clearly both in oral and written communications- Collaborative team player who can also work independently, multitask, and prioritize competing demands to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment- Proactive and organized self-starter with a positive attitude, powerful work ethic and strong attention to detail- Confident with the use of Excel- Ready to learn and be challenged
