Bamboo Childcare are recruiting for a Senior Nursery Manager (Assistant Group Manager) to support a small group of settings in Scotland (mainly in the Aberdeen area but some in Inverness).

This is a permanent position for _40 hrs per week._

In order to be considered for the role of Senior Nursery Manager you will need:

- A passionate and positive attitude
- Management experience, from a high performing early years setting
- Good understanding of the curriculum.
- Applicants must be qualified to HNC, SVQ3 or equivalent in childcare and they must hold or be willing to complete their BA in Childhood Practice or equivalent.
- Knowledge and understanding Knowledge of 'Realising the Ambition', 'How Good is our Early Learning and Childcare' and 'Curriculum for Excellence' is required.
- The nurseries focus on children's learning through curiosity and discovery, so applicants must have an interest in and knowledge of open-ended play using natural materials and loose parts.
- Experience of staff reviews/appraisals/supervisions is required
- Organisational skills and excellent communication skills with parents, colleagues and other professionals is vital.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- A positive attitude, good initiative, confident and approachable.
- Essential car driver post to enable travel between the different sites when required.

The role of Senior Nursery Manager will include:

- Supporting Group Manager in all tasks
- Completing staf reviews and appraisals
- Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues
- Focus on quality of care and learning in the nurseries
- Ensuring health, safety and well-being of the children at all times
- Liaising with care inspectorate
- Overseeing the smooth running and high quality practice within the rooms
- Administration duties such as invoicing, wages, policy review
