**The Company**
Macfarlane Design and Manufacture are a division of Macfarlane Group PLC.
We are seeking to appoint a Production Planner for our Manufacturing site in Grantham Lincolnshire. Our specialist manufacturing division designs and manufactures bespoke protective packaging solutions for customers that require protection for high value productsduring transit and storage. Our customers are UK wide and span several key markets including Aerospace, Defense, Electronics, Industrial and Medical.
**Production Planner Role**
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will work alongside our current planning & production team to enhance manufacturing efficiency by analyzing customer trends, optimizing production batch sizes, material yield and machine time. The ability to developand improve systems to support the growth in business would also be advantageous. Working in a fast-paced environment the role will involve planning labour and production processes, general administrative duties, stock management, managing key suppliers andlabour costs.
**Production Planner Key Duties**:
- Analyze customer product trends
- Review production batch sizes to maximize efficiency
- Place purchase orders for raw materials
- Release works orders to production
- Manage bill of materials and products structures on ERP system
- Ensure accurate details/drawings are provided to production
- Ensure works orders for completed jobs are returned with accurate information from production
- Liaise with sales, design, and logistics departments to ensure customer requirements are achieved
- Create reports and statistical analysis
