**Project Engineer - Control Systems**

**Telford**

**£40 - 60k + Overtime**

We are looking for a motivated Project Engineer Control Systems to join a market leading System Integrator. Reporting directly to the Directors this is a diverse role designing PLCs to specific criteria, within fast-paced manufacturing environments, workingwithin a small team of engineers. As world class leaders there will be ample opportunity for personal and professional development.

The ideal Projects Engineer - Control Systems will have experience writing control software, performing design and commissioning activities for PLC systems and motion control. The individual will also be able to demonstrate the ability to work with HMI software,inverters, servos, and communication networks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Initial concept design, including Functional Design Specification, Safety Requirements Specification, Single Line Diagram, Network Topology, Device Layout, Cause & effect Matrix, Safety Block Diagram, etc
- Procurement, including the identification and ordering of long lead times
- Handover to the Hardware Design team and review of the produced designs
- Software Design, including the Software Design Specification and production of Software / Configuration deliverables for e.g. PLC / HMI / SCADA / Robot / Drives / BMS / etc
- Maintenance of the Technical Construction File
- Factory Acceptance Testing
- Commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing

**Required Skills**:

- Experience designing control systems with PLCs - Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi for example
- AutoCAD/Eplan experience for Electrical schematics design
- Statement List and Ladder Logic programming
- Knowledge on settings/commissioning/fault finding of VFD drives, fieldbus communications and PLC I/O, instruments
