The **Field Service Engineer** (FSE) will be responsible for meeting the daily service maintenance and repair needs of the customer’s equipment. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers as well as performingnecessary administrative duties as required and other duties as assigned

The role is to cover the Midlands region with domestic travel to customer sites 70% of the time.

**Key Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer**:

- Install new equipment and be able to train customers on its function
- Carry out planned corrective preventative maintenance repairs, and service, fault find and carry out breakdown repairs.
- Ensure relevant documentation is fully completed in an accurate and timely manner, including timesheets, work reports, service reports, expense claims and site documentation.
- Ensure client satisfaction in all aspects of installation, maintenance, and service and to always project a high level of quality customer service.
- Ordering and managing repair parts cycle times.
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve standard technical problems that arise, ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency with installing and troubleshooting software on Windows desktop and server operating systems.
- Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, software/hardware installations and troubleshooting
- Responds to routine enquiries from customers about the technical aspects of the organization’s products and services.
- Identify problem areas, report these back via correct channels, and ensure all relevant documentation is carried out

**Skills & Experience Required**:

- ONC or equivalent in electronic/electric engineering
- Good IT knowledge with basics of networking some SQL knowledge, and experience with web-based (IIS) systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail to diagnose equipment faults accurately
- Effective and professional communication skills with customers and colleagues
- Previous experience as a field engineer or similar role
- An analytical mind, strong problem-solving ability, and excellent attention to detail
- Experience with medical messaging protocols (HL7 and DICOM)
- Experience with web-based (IIS) systems is highly desirable.
