Cordius is looking for a Weekend Press Production Operators and Weekend Production Operators to join a successful, well-known animal feed and supplement supplier with an established customer base across the UK and Ireland.

**Location**:Dishforth, Thirsk (YO7 3DH)

**Hours**:Initially, Mon-Fri, 6:00am - 4:30pm (52h). After Training: Friday - Sunday, 6am-6pm at a higher rate

**Salary**: Competitive Hourly Rate, paid weekly

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) when operating machinery or FLT’s, especially in regard to Health & Safety, work instructions, and quality procedures and standards
- To complete all training required to successfully carry out all tasks
- Ensure that all paperwork relevant in your area is completed to a high degree of accuracy
- To work as part of a production / operational team to manufacture products, adhering to H&S, work order sheets and comply with quality guidelines
- To ensure all daily operational and housekeeping tasks are completed to a high standard and fully documented
- To ensure that your designated workstation/ area is clean and tidy during and at the end of your shift, complying with the required clean as you go policy
- Ensure that the relevant PPE is worn at all times
- To carry out all tasks and duties in accordance with Health & Safety standards
- Always pay due care and attention when moving pallets anywhere in the operation
- To maintain a positive attitude and actively engage and work well with others
- Have a good attendance and timekeeping record, and adhere to all site rules regarding break times and smoking policy
- To carry out other tasks as detailed by the Production Management
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships
- Work with Production Manager and Shift Managers to ensure shared responsibility for delivering all Key Production Indicators and targets
- Be a flexible and committed member of the Production team
- Behave professionally with a positive and helpful attitude to all colleagues and customers
- Ensuring the press is kept operating for the full length of the shift
- Ensure vehicles are loaded with the correct product and in a timely manner
- When appropriate weigh vehicles in and out

**Essential Criteria**:

- Previous experience within a production/manufacturing environment
- Ability to work as a strong team player and demonstrate a knowledge of output and quality standards
- Ability to operate manufacturing equipment
- Computer literate
- Good attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Positive and professional attitude
- Willingness to learn new roles
- Physical capability to meeting the manual handling aspects of the role
- A good level of both written and verbal English

**Desirable Criteria**:

- Forklift Counterbalance licence would be advantageous
- Knowledge/experience of SCADA
- Math’s and English at grade C or greater
