Swalcliffe Park School are looking for a HR Apprentice to work as the HR & Compliance Manager to provide general HR administration, liaise with the Human Resources Team, Payroll, Finance and Occupational Health. The role will also require effective and professional interaction with governors, parents, students and visitors on a regular basis.
**What will the apprentice be doing?**
- Supporting all aspects of Child Protection and Safeguarding of students through the role of the HR function; safeguarding being of paramount importance
- Clearances - Conduct pre-employment checks in accordance with the Safer Recruitment Policy including Right to work and ID checks, DBS, References, Qualifications, Occupational Health checks and overseas police checks, etc
- Ensure all checks are completed in a timely manner and prior to the commencement of employment
- Load and maintain staff files on the Access Education HR system and the hard copy HR and training files
- Assist with preparing HR and payroll information for payroll data processing on a monthly basis
- Preparation of employment contracts, changes to employment terms and conditions letters. Ensure they are accurate and issued in a timely manner
- Help to maintain an accurate and up-to-date Single Central Register, Training matrices, DBS renewals, etc
- Data inputting of new starter employment details onto HR Access Education system
- Ensure accurate and timely inputting of data onto the HR system, including new starters, leavers, amenders, maternity, paternity, absence and annual leave, etc
- To ensure HR personal files are up to date and comply with OFSTED and Data Protection Act 2018 requirements
- To assist with the digitisation of all archive HR records
- Provide and promote HR service excellence and foster effective teamwork and business partnering relationships
- To communicate sensitively with a wide range of people, including colleagues, students (all of whom have an ASC diagnosis), families and external contacts and the public
- To maintain information in a strictly confidential manner, following data protection regulations and ensuring the HR team and HR, training files and recruitment records are GDPR compliant
- Promoting the Equality and Diversity policy in all areas of work
- Supporting health, safety and well-being within the workplace
- To undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and training to update your own skills and knowledge
- To carry out all duties in accordance with policies and procedures, including the Safeguarding policies and Health and Safety Policy
- To carry out other similar duties that may be reasonably required by the HR & Compliance Manager and members of the Senior Leadership Team
**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**
- Level 3 HR Support qualification
