Civils and Contracts Project Manager, permanent career opportunity based in Wiltshire, working for a global manufacturer of telecommunications products and solutions. Offered on a hybrid working pattern, this is a Monday to Friday role, salary £40k, withsome exceptional employee benefits. You are responsible for the management and control of multiple UK installation projects from initial customer contractual review, through to planning and final installation. You will hold responsibility for all budgetarymanagement, Environmental/Health and Safety compliance and regulated assessment, including the final contract agreement and payment stages.
As a Civils and Contracts Project Manager, your immediate reports will include Telecommunications Field Engineers and a Project Engineer, with an oversight of sub-contractors, suppliers and of course the customers. Due to the complexity of contracts andUK locations, there is a need to travel to meet UK customers, to review planned works, to assess work performance and to conduct contract reviews. There is a need for clear, concise, and consistent communication with all parties, ensuring timelines are understoodby all and that expectations are met in line with the initial contract agreement.
Due to the nature of the work and products, you will be responsible for managing the installation of Aerial Fibre Optic Cables in a High Voltage environment and this will include working at height (for inspection purposes). The need to execute strict Healthand Safety Risk Assessments is key to this role and will expect you to manage such risks, manage site incidents and report and investigate any accidents in line with Health and Safety Regulations, therefore a knowledge of these processes is essential.
Your previous management career will demonstrate a solid understanding of either Civils, Planned Construction and/or Power/Energy. Previous working knowledge of managing contractors and sub-contracting would be highly advantageous due to the resourcing ofstaff and placement of specific skill sets.
