Alloyed is a young venture-funded company of about 100 world-class metallurgists, mechanical engineers, technicians, and software developers working across 3 offices in the UK, 1 in Japan, and 1 in Seattle to build the future of advanced metal components. To do this, it uses proprietary software packages which combine advanced machine learning and physical modelling, as well as extensive experimental facilities, to invent better alloys and devise better ways to process them. At its premises in Oxford, Yarnton and Abingdon, Alloyed is aiming to build the world’s fastest, smartest, and best-equipped laboratory for the rapid development of novel alloys.

**The Role**

Alloyed is seeking a motivated individual to join its energetic, growing team as an Metrology Lead Inspector, where your main responsibility will be measurement, reporting and assisting on new product development.

You will be based at Abingdon Business Park in South Oxford. Training will be provided where required.

**Responsibilities**
- Operating, maintaining and programming CMM equipment
- Operating and maintaining GOM scanner and microscope/profilometry equipment
- Communicating with engineers to understand their needs, scheduling and performing work accordingly.
- Supporting the development of efficient work procedures
- Participating in the development of the company’s in-house capabilities.
- Maintaining good health and safety practices

**Essential**
- CMM programming
- Understanding engineering drawings and FAIR requirements
- Experience working in a precision engineering environment
- Ability to compile reports to customers including route-cause analysis, concessions, non-conformance
- Organised and able to work independently, but also to collaborate with a diverse, fast-moving team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Hands-on attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- High level of attention to detail

**Desirable**
- Experience with metal additive manufacturing and relevant equipment in value chain
- Experience in operating, maintaining and purchasing precision engineering equipment
- Willingness to work flexible hours or morning/afternoon shifts if needed.
