At CrossReach, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported. As a Residential Childcare Worker across multiple sites, you’ll be part of a dedicated team creating nurturing environments where children and young people can grow in confidence and independence.
**What you’ll be doing**
- Supporting children and young people with daily routines, emotional wellbeing, and life skills
- Acting as a keyworker, helping to shape care and education plans in partnership with families and professionals
- Building genuine, positive relationships that promote inclusion, resilience, and trust
- Encouraging children to get involved in their communities, explore new opportunities, and enjoy activities that help them thrive
- Providing stability and consistency by working a flexible rota of early, late, and weekend shifts, including sleepovers when required
- Travelling between services, so a manual driving licence is essential
**What you’ll bring**
You’ll have a reflective, person-centred approach, with the ability to build strong and supportive relationships. Experience in care or education is helpful, but more important is your resilience, compassion, and commitment to giving children the best start in life. Strong communication skills, self-awareness, and emotional competence will help you succeed, as will basic IT skills. You’ll also need to be registered with the SSSC (or be eligible to register) and a member of the PVG Scheme.
**What we offer**
- A role that’s meaningful, challenging, and deeply rewarding
- Ongoing training and development to support your career journey
- The chance to be part of a supportive team built on compassion, respect, and hope
