Vehicle fitter /Coachbuilder

Location: Manchester

Monday to Friday: 40 hours per week, 7am - 3:30pm

**Salary**: Up to £14.00 per Hour. Overtime available

An opportunity has arisen within a well-established engineering company who are looking for a Vehicle Fitter/ Coach Builder to join their team. The company is based on the East side of Manchester, not far from the Eithad Stadium and within walking distance of numerous bus stops and tram stops however there is sufficient room for parking

The Role

The Vehicle fitter /Coachbuilder will be carrying out duties:

- involving modifying vehicles, building, assembling and fitting various bespoke assemblies. parts and components to the vehicles.
- drilling, cutting, riveting, bolting and screwing components and parts including steel, aluminium, plastics, GRP and wood materials. You would use hand tools and basic cutting machinery to modify and alter the vehicles and parts.
- Following technical drawings and specification sheets.
- Must be able to work individually or as part of a team to meet production targets.
- Following clear instructions from team members and senior colleagues
- Minimise waste by using/disposing of raw materials and consumable items efficiently
- Hands on manufacturing experience ideally in commercial vehicle bodywork or trailer manufacturing
- High quality assembly experience of specified materials such as hardwoods, fibreglass, steel and aluminium
- Demonstrate skillset using various hand tools
- Some of the work is carried out on new vehicle chassis and a very high standard of finish is required.

Previous expertise and a background and work history with vehicles and or related qualifications like City & Guilds in Coachbuilding or vehicle mechanics or an equivalent qualification would be ideal for this role.

Our client is looking for a coach builder / Vehicle Fitter with a keen eye for detail, demonstrating the ability to follow procedures accurately and respond promptly to the changing demands of a production based working environment.

Location: Manchester

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 7am - 3:30pm

Salary; Up to £14.00 per Hour. Overtime available
