This position involves a resilient individual for this demanding and challenging workload, co-ordinating and supporting the SHEQ function in Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, and other areas of legislation.
The role will be based around the Business Administation framework apprenticeship with the focus leading on Health, Safety, Quality and Environment
Qualifications:
- Good standard of education
- Be enthusiastic about personal development and have desire to develop into becoming a competent SHEQ adviser.
- Willingness to attend courses as identified by SHEQ and HR managers.
- An excellent working knowledge of I.T. including Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook & Powerpoint
- A team player, with a good attention to detail
- Excellent communicator (Written and verbal)
- Flexible and ‘Hands On’ approach, working with minimum supervision and dealing with multiple demands
- The ability to analyse data and to provide logical suggestions for continuous improvement
**Responsibilities**:
- Supporting the SHEQ and operations departments to ensure that all work practices and operations are carried out in a safe manner, that all accidents and incidents, hazards and dangerous occurrences are reported and investigated in accordance with Company procedures
- Continually strive to develop Health & Safety / Environmental standards to reduce incidents on site and improve working conditions through regular formalised inspections / audits and supporting shift managers in the updating of SWP’s
- Ensure management systems are kept up to date
- Working closely with departmental managers actively implement agreed policies and procedures.
- Preparing detailed reports and analysis for the site management team on SHEQ performance.
- Assisting in the maintaining of SHEQ evidence to enable the smooth running of audits
- Helping maintain a controlled document system and assist with the review and reissue all controlled documents and document register.
- Contribute towards devising enhanced working practices and promote continual improvement.
- Assisting with H&S or Environmental inspections across the business.
- Provide information & support on relevant standards operated within the business.
