**Senior Quantity Surveyor**
Fawkes and Reece are currently assisting a nationally renowned Main Contractor in their search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join on a permanent basis. The contractor is one which specialises in high rise residential projects across England. The projectis a £43mil concrete framed residential scheme which consists of 4 blocks, ranging up to 6 storeys tall. They're looking for a Senior Surveyor to take commercial lead on the project, reporting into the Managing Surveyor. There is prospects for additional phaseson the same site which you would later go on to.
**As Senior Surveyor, your duties will include but not be limited to**:
**Pre-Contract**:
- Attending pre-commencement / pre-contract meetings
- Attend meetings regarding all financial control procedures associated with the design development to ensure the recording of perceived risks and opportunities in the bid as required.
**Post Contract**:
- Financial reporting and control
- Continually monitor and review, in detail costs and values of the works at hand.
- Commercial forecasting
- Ensure that the financial reports are produced and submitted in line with the company's reporting timetable.
- Attend regular review and commercial control meetings.
- Liaise closely with the Design and Project Management leads to ensure cross control
- Management of Risk
- Management of contract variations
- Contract Review and production Meetings
- Main Contract and External Valuations and Final Accounts
- Management of Consultants and Subcontractors
- Feedback to the Commercial manager of any price elements or unit prices which are considered to be seriously at variance with cost, giving details of shortfall.
- Provide constructive comments on improving efficiency
The ideal Senior Quantity Surveyor will have:
- A construction related degree/equivalent qualification
- Experience as Senior Surveyor within a Main Contractor
- Experience with concrete frame projects
- Secure working knowledge of JCT Form of contract
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a contractor with at least 2 years worth of local work and one which offers competitive salaries and packages. This is a site based role.
