The key responsibilities for the admin assistant/receptionist will be; Join a vibrant college team and play a pivotal role in various domains. In the field of operational and strategic planning, contribute to the development of self-assessment reports and action plans in alignment with the college's standards. Create an inclusive and supportive teaching environment by promoting collaboration, flexibility, and continuous professional development within the staffing team. Uphold student welfare by helping to implement safeguarding policies and ensuring discipline standards. Take an active role in enhancing student engagement through the implementation of the Learner Involvement Strategy, contributing to a comprehensive and enriching educational experience. Contribute substantively to self-assessment reports, engage in performance reviews, and maintain a professional development file to uphold quality assurance standards. Champion equality and diversity in the workplace, providing efficient administrative support, and maintaining high data quality standards in management information and administration. Attend college events, employ effective communication through college systems, and actively participate in marketing and liaison activities. Demonstrate proficiency in procurement processes, ensuring optimal value, and exercise diligent resource monitoring to maintain operational efficiency. Align with the college's mission, adhere to policies, engage in requisite training, and fulfill other assigned duties. If you're prepared to make a meaningful contribution, join us in building an inspiring and supportive educational environment, actively contributing to our mission and growth. **The Successful Applicant**: The successful Admin Assistant/Receptionist will posses the following; - At least 3 GCSEs (grades A-C) or equivalent, including English and Maths. - NVQ Level 2/3 in Customer Service or Business Administration. (Desirable) - Recognised IT qualification. (Desirable) **EXPERIENCE**: - Experience in general administration and clerical support. - Experience of working with the public. - Switchboard/telephone experience. - Experience in the use of ICT systems. **SKILLS/ABILITIES**: - Effective communication skills at both verbal and written levels. - Effective and up-to-date IT skills. - The ability to remain calm and good-humoured under pressure. - Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others. - A willingness to play a full part within a small team. - A willingness to learn new skills and undertake training as necessary. - The ability to take a proactive approach, including initiating work, taking lead responsibility, working autonomously where appropriate. - Good time-keeping and attendance are essential. - Flexible approach to working patterns. **What's on Offer**: The below is on offer for the successful Admin Assistant/Receptionist Generous annual leave package + local government pension scheme + excellent development + EAP + cycle to work scheme + discount schemes.
