Cafe Worker

Café on the Corner is open every Thursday and Friday between 8am and 2pm.

The café serves a selection of freshly made hot and cold food and drinks to the general public with a capacity of approximately 30 customers. The café also serves takeaway food.

The café operates with very high standards of hygiene and quality, ensuring that we offer food that is affordable as well as fresh and tasty.

We are looking for a dedicated team player who thrives in a busy working environment and enjoys meeting high standards, in a customer focused setting.

Typically, the role will include the following:

- Preparing, storing and displaying items of food and drink for sale
- Clearing away empty crockery, cutlery and cups from tables and cleaning up
- Washing up used crockery, cutlery and cups
- Cooking and preparing basic food items (breakfast, sandwiches, hot meals, salad etc)
- Serving customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Tidying away and cleaning the café after close ready for use the following day

We are looking for a motivated person with strong customer service skills, high hygiene standards and a careful eye for detail. Training will be offered in some areas but having retail / kitchen experience would be an advantage.

- Able to work as part of a team in a busy / demanding customer focused environment_

**Desirable**:

- Experience with working in retail _
- Experience with working in a commercial kitchen_

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
