Working as part of the ABUHB Paediatric Nutrition and Dietetic team to be involved in the delivery of efficient and effective, evidence based dietetic service for children and young people (CYP).

The post holder must have already attained a sound knowledge and understanding of general paediatric dietetics and be ready to learn from a speciality and work independently. A dietetic knowledge of either adult and/or paediatric home enteral feeding is desirable, as the post holder will be responsible for contributing to the community service provided by the home enteral feeding team. The post holder will also be responsible for a general paediatric dietetic clinics and regular paediatric clinics for children with complex and specialist needs.

There will also be an opportunity for the post holder to expand their knowledge of paediatric dietetics. The post offers an opportunity for learning and development within a supportive and knowledgeable team.

This post provides an excellent career development opportunity for a dietitian. The post will be part of a team of paediatric dietitians and will work closely with experienced dietitians working in the specialist area of Paediatric home enteral feeding. The post holder will also hold a general paediatric outpatient clinics each week and regular paediatric clinics for children with complex and specialist needs.

You will have opportunity to educate and support other dietetic colleagues, community nurses, other members of the multidisciplinary team. Your clinical workload will include a caseload of patients requiring home enteral feeding and regular outpatient clinics. There will be an opportunity to gain/expand upon a knowledge and understanding of paediatric dietetics.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
