Wood Machinists

The ideal Machinists will be able and expected to do the following:

- Machine timber for the current days order to the given specifications, at the highest possible standard, as well as assisting, organizing and prioritising the day’s work as directed by their supervisor.
- Adhere to UK Health & Safety Regulations and Company policy to comply with the safe working practices.
- Safeguard the maintenance and safe working condition of machinery related to timber production and maintain the safe movement of timber around the site.
- Work out as directed, the right type of wood for a product and how much would be needed as well as calculating waste.
- Make sure that the productivity and hygiene of the production facilities are maintained, as well as reporting possible dangers and any faults on machinery immediately to the Production Manager.
- Always ensure that safe working practices are strictly adhered to, as well as other reasonable duties as arising, as specified by their supervisor.
- Good accuracy, organisation and efficiency
- Good communication skills
- Health and safety knowledge
- Experience is an advantage, but for the right person training can and will be given.

**Salary**: £26,000.00 per year
