**Scope**

We are currently seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our exceptional team at one of our purpose-built homes, where we provide specialised care to residents with a variety of complex conditions. A nutritious meal is essential for our residents' health, which is why your role as a Kitchen Assistant is critical. You will be a part of an ambitious, growing company with an outstanding team.

**What will my duties be?**
- To assist with preparation of breakfast, lunch and supper.
- Preparation of sandwiches, soup and evening menu which is nutritious, adequate, varied and presentable, taking into account the needs of all clients, their cultural background and dietary requirements.
- To take an interest in menu planning and trial new dishes.
- To assist chef in cooking lunches as and when required
- To take pride in work and meet all quality standards
- To at all times wear clean kitchen whites and keep hair covered, hands clean and nails trimmed.

**What do I need to be successful?**

For this role, you are required to have the following attributes:

- Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant (preferred)
- Excellent verbal communication & listening skills
- Good organisational skills and effective time management
- Ability to prioritise day to day activities
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet service needs
- Awareness of food safety and cleaning practices
