**REPORTS TO (JOB TITLE)**: Despatch Manager

**RESPONSIBLE FOR (JOB TITLE)**: N/A

**BASE LOCATION(S)**: Lincoln, Grantham, Norwich

1) **OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

Responsible for serving customers at the trade counter, collating customer orders for despatch, general logistics.

2) **REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS ** Primarily Despatch Manager, or General Manager.

3) **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Trade Counter
- Provide excellent customer service to anyone visiting the Trade Counter.
- Manufacture hose assemblies when required (Grantham & Norwich).
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Record customer enquiries, source parts, and prepare quotations.
- Effect repairs to customer equipment.

Order Processing
- Collate customer orders accurately.
- Ensure orders are appropriately packaged for transportation.

Goods Out
- Packing of boxes and pallets for UK and Export orders.
- Organising shipping with various carrier online portals.
- Moving and stacking goods for collection.

General Responsibilities
- Compliance with security procedures.
- Understanding of H&S policies and procedures.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness.

**4) JOB DIMENSIONS / SCOPE**

Responsible for the trade counter, logistics and general warehouse operations.

5) **KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Experience in a customer facing role is preferred but not essential.
- Experience working in a warehouse retail environment.
- Valid forklift (FLT) license and experience advantageous but training can be provided.
- Basic IT skills
- Full UK Driver’s license.

- Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
- Capable of working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability as part of a team, as well as individually using initiative.
- Ability to be flexible and respond to changing situations.
- Good organisational skills.
- Punctual and reliable.

9) **ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**

Van deliveries when required.

Training will be provided where appropriate to operate any machinery.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
