We are looking for an Early Help Co-Ordinator to join our Early Help service.

As an Early Help Co-Ordinator, you will be ensuring support is provided to children, young people, and their families through the delivery of early help services in the community.

As directed by the Early Help Team Manager, you will work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to develop pathways to support for children, young people and their families where thresholds for targeted and statutory children’s services are not met but additional support is required.

You will support community partners to deliver whole family support through a Team Around the Child and their family approach (TAC) with clear multi-agency support plans and evidence of outcomes for children and young people.

You will develop and implement processes for tracking the support provided to children, young people and their families delivered through our Early Help partnership in response to identified additional needs.

You will ensure robust reporting and evidence of outcomes for children and young people supported through early help in the community including those identified as young carers.
You will be responsible for supporting our partners delivering early help in the community to use our EHM Portal system and any with any other future systems.

**Main Accountabilities**:

- To work with relevant partners to develop, implement and support processes and standards for collating and coordinating a clear picture of early help in the community, including the outcomes achieved for individual children and young people through partnership working.
- To identify appropriate services & links with organisations and voluntary community groups, e.g., Health and Youth Work providers, Schools, Police and community-based organisations, to maximise opportunities for families to access a range of appropriate services and activities, including young carers.
- Be responsible for the collation and updating of data from partners so we know which children and families receive early help in Slough.
- To measure and evaluate the impact of our early help service intervention with children and families using performance management tools, including identified young carers.
- Actively participate in supervision and personal development and performance sessions as outlined in the departmental Policy as well as identify and attend personal and team training.
- Contribute positively to continued development and improvement of the service by active participation in meetings to achieve the objectives of the service.
- Maintain up to date and accurate manual and computer records, in line with departmental regulations and the recording policy.
- The post holder should work flexibly outside office hours including evenings and weekends to meet the needs of families.
- Any other duties and responsibilities within the range of the salary grade.

**Person Specification**:
**Education, Training & Experience**
- Professional Qualification equivalent to minimum level 3 relevant to work with children, young people and families or substantial experience of working with partners to deliver early help, family support, youth work, education, health, social care and/or community services. **(Essential)**:

- Be able to demonstrate continuous professional development in related disciplines. **(Essential)**:

- Proven track record of building positive, collaborative relationships with statutory and voluntary organisations, including co-ordination of multi-agency processes. **(Essential)**:

- Experience of working with families with multiple complex needs. **(Essential)**:

- Experience of monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating work. **(Essential)**:

- Thorough understanding of how complex families with entrenched negative behaviours interact with services. **(Essential)**:

- Knowledge of Child Protection policies and procedures, thresholds of need, Safeguarding and Early Help. **(Essential)**:

- Understanding of and commitment to the need for sensitivity and confidentiality. **(Essential)**:

- Be able to travel around Slough. **(Essential)**

**General & Specific Knowledge**
- An Understanding of the regulatory requirements for Children’s Services including Ofsted frameworks **(Essential)**:

- An understanding of the principles and meaningful community involvement & participation in planning and monitoring community services **(Desirable)**:

- An understanding of the economic, social, cultural and environmental issues experienced by families living in a disadvantaged area. **(Desirable)**:

- An understanding of partnership working and interagency approaches. **(Essential)**:

- Experience of assessing complex family needs and work with families and agencies to form a comprehensive plan of action. **(Essential)**:
