Colchester Leisure World are looking for Full time and part time Cleaners this involves working mornings, evening and weekends.

**Duties of the role**:

- To assist the Duty Officer in keeping the centre and grounds free of litter.
- Ensure the centre and surrounding areas around the centre are clean and litter disposed of in accordance with the centre's procedures
- Responsible for ensuring consumables are kept stocked and report to the Duty Officer where stock is running low
- Responsible for liaising with the cleaning champion on areas that will need deep cleaning.
- To deliver friendly, professional, and efficient service in line with the Leisure World ethos.
- To exceed customer expectations trough providing a clean safe environment for customers and staff to use.
- To keep up to date with all current cleaning equipment machines that the site uses
- To be willing to learn Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations and take on new training delivered by cleaning champion and Duty Officers
- To ensure public and staff safety when carrying out cleaning tasks in accordance with centres procedures
- To carry out a range of tasks to ensure centres presentation is looking professional and visually welcoming, achieving monthly and quarterly facility brand standards key performance targets.
- To take responsibility in helping with other staff in accordance with the emergency evacuation procedures (EAP)
- To attend training and maintain knowledge of the job role and be willing to learn and adapt to any new guidelines that Colchester City Council (CCC) put in place for the job role you are undertaking
- To comply with the councils' safeguarding policies with regards to children and vulnerable adults.

**Qualifications and skills required**:

- Knowledge of COSHH (Chemical handling)
- Physically Fit
- Able to work both independently, using judgement and initiative and as part of a busy team
- Knowledge of manual handling
- Ability to take ownership of equipment machinery you are trained to use
