Brickfab is a private manufacturing business based in both Pontypool, South Wales. Due to continued growth and the increased demand for our products we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Packing Operator with a Fork Lift Truck license to carry out a wide variety of yard and warehouse activities.

Reporting to the Team Leader you will be responsible for packing customer orders on pallets, loading and unloading delivery vehicles and maintaining storage and housekeeping of the yard. The role will also provide cover to other departments to meet production demands.

This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who enjoys variety and a fast pace of work.

**The main areas of responsibility will be**:

- Pack customer orders to a satisfactory standard
- Ensure products meet quality standards and are labelled accurately to customer and company requirements
- Liaise with office and factory to ensure jobs are ready and packed on time for despatch
- Receive and control incoming materials and route to the appropriate department or personnel
- Store packed goods and raw materials safely in the designated areas
- Move bricks from yard to factory and vice versa as and when required for production teams
- Ensure all inbound and outbound materials are clearly labelled
- Support the Yard Supervisor
- Manage housekeeping of yard and warehouse to ensure area is clean, tidy and safe to work in
- Be aware of all H&S issues relating to a safe working environment

**The Person**
- Hold a current valid fork lift truck licence
- Able to work on own initiative.
- Positive attitude towards work with an excellent attendance record
- Ability to learn and implement new processes
- Resilient to working outside

**Salary**: £9.50-£10.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pontypool, NP4 6YW: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- FLT Licence (required)
