**Duties/Responsibilities**:
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor to join our team in Huntington on a 12 month FTC Monday - Friday 08:00am - 17:00pm 40 hours per week.
**Job purpose**:
To provide a professional and efficient service to the customer and the EMCOR management team in the delivery of a Term Maintenance Contract to Hampshire County Council in line with contractual requirements, Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators, primarily for mechanical services.
**Responsibilities**:
- Support your line manager in the day to day implementation of EMCOR policies, procedures and standards necessary to maintain the integrity of ongoing operational activities and provide high quality service to customers in accordance with:
- EMCOR Integrated Management System
- EMCOR Employee Handbook
- EMCOR M&I Business Plan
- Contract Business Plan
- Contract/EMCOR Safety Procedures / Instructions
- Term Maintenance Contract (TMC) contractual requirements
- Deliver contractual requirements for PPM, reactive works and extra works through effective organisation, planning and communication, agreeing what resources will be required and ensuring that the staff members are fully competent and trained to undertake tasks in a safe and timely fashion and in line with Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators
- Liaise with and assist maintenance scheduler with task organisation and completion activities.
- Monitor the progress of assigned tasks, ensuring that works are completed according to the agreed plan of work and to the satisfaction of the customer and regulatory authorities
- Prepare and issue quotations to customer as required
- In conjunction with the HSE&Q team, regularly monitor the safety performance of all service aspects, identifying areas for improvement
- Ensure that all Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments have been read and understood by you and your team and that they are appropriate for the task in hand and produce task specific risk assessments as required
- Conduct regular appraisals (PPP’S) with your direct reports
- Conduct regular audits on engineers as required
- Conduct regular sub contractor review meetings and audits
- Provide regular updates to EMCOR Management team and the contract, and maintain daily contact with the customer and attend meetings as necessary
- Supervise, co-ordinate and/or manage EMCOR engineers and Specialist Sub-contractors as required
- Provide technical support to engineers as required
- Produce, supervise and/or manage the completion of appropriate records and documentation, including but not limited to, timesheets, job dockets, work orders, site audits and inspections and testing certification
- Liaise with Hampshire County Council (HCC) engineering team on a regular / as needed basis
- Ensure compliance on all mechanical aspects of the HCC term contract
- Involvement in account mechanical audits and gas audits as required
- Ensure that the client’s CAFM system (Concerto) is updated to reflect job status in a timely manner
- Effective management of work in progress (WIP)
- Obtain quotations and provide necessary information for the raising of orders to ensure task completion. Support the commercial team by providing information necessary to establish financial completion of accounts
- Identify and implement operational improvements to ensure continued provision of high quality service
- Attend sites for surveys and/or meetings as required
- Assist in other ad-hoc functions within the account within skills level, training and experience on an as required basis
- Assist account manager, compliance manager and senior mechanical supervisor in ensuring that engineers training requirements are current
- Form part of the out of hours ‘duty manager ‘ on call rota
- Assist in ensuring that gas shutdown register, kitchen ventilation report and other ad hoc reports required by the customer are kept up to date.
- Assist with planning PRV replacement programme
**Person Specification**:
- The ability to establish and maintain high standards of excellence in areas of operational administration, supervision and management.
- Organised with good attention to detail and the ability to set and meet deadlines
- Customer focussed with a flexible approach to delivering a high level of service
- A minimum of 4 GCSEs or equivalent qualification, grades A-C, including Maths and English.
- Qualifications in relevant work field
- Experience in a similar role
