**Schedule**:6pm-9pm, Monday to Friday, No Weekends

**JOB PURPOSE**:
To clean all the rooms within the nursery to a high standard, whilst meeting all environmental and health and safety regulations.

**MAIN DUTIES**:
**General**:

- Close and secure all windows and doors.
- Turn off lights in unused areas to conserve energy.
- Empty and sanitise trash cans.
- Sweep and mop all hard floors throughout the Nursery.
- Vacuum/hoover carpets and rugs in all rooms, including play areas and offices.
- Sweep front entrance and remove cobweb
- Keep storage / WC room tidy so the disabled toilet is usable

**Sanitize High-Touch Surfaces**:

- Wipe down and disinfect frequently-touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, light switches, and handrails.
- Clean and disinfect countertops, tables, and desks.
- Clean windows, window sills, skirting boards, under radiators and carpets

**Restrooms**:

- Clean and disinfect all restroom fixtures, including sinks, toilets, and changing stations.
- Waiting until all children are gone before cleaning nappy areas / toilets (After 6pm)
- Use Viakal cleaning solution on silver surfaces, such as taps to avoid limescale and watermarks.

**Kitchen and Staff Room**:

- Clean and sanitise kitchen countertops, sinks, and appliances.
- Ensure all dishes and utensils are cleaned and put away.
- Empty and sanitise bins.

**Rubbish Removal**:

- Empty all bins throughout the nursery & training centre.
- Dispose of the rubbish properly in the correct bin and ensure bin bags are securely tied.

**Weekly Cleaning Tasks**

**Deep Cleaning (One Area Each Night)**:
Allocate one evening each week to deep clean specific areas of the nursery, such as the kitchen, offices, storage rooms, and playrooms.

**Monthly Cleaning Tasks**

**First Week of the Month**:Deep clean and sanitise all nursery equipment, such as foam mats and toys. Review and update the inventory of cleaning supplies and order replacements as needed.

**Second Week of the Month**:Deep clean of the staff room and toilets.

**Third Week of the Month**: Deep clean of windows and surrounding area, including glass doors. Conduct a thorough check of all emergency exit routes to ensure they are clear and accessible.

**Fourth Week of the Month**:Evaluate the effectiveness of the cleaning schedule and make any necessary adjustments or improvements.
