Theatre Assistant

To undertake circulation duties e.g. tying gowns, opening sterile packs and assisting with swab, instrument and needle counts. Provide general assistance to multi-disciplinary team in the operating rooms e.g. adjust lights, collect additional instruments and restock / order theatre consumables.
To assist with the completion of documents and electronic patient record. To ensure that correct processes are followed with regards to the management of sterile and contaminated instruments. Ensure high standards of infection control, aseptic technique and overall cleanliness within practices and the department. Support the team with ordering of theatre consumables.
