Showjumping Groom

**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Provide daily care for showjumping horses, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of stables and equipment.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, including moving feed and bedding.
- Use hand tools and power tools for equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Assist with irrigation systems to ensure proper hydration for pastures.
- Conduct basic mechanical repairs on equipment as needed.
- Monitor horse health and report any concerns to the trainer or veterinarian.
- Maintain accurate records of horse care routines and health status.
- Assist in preparing horses for competitions, including tacking up and cooling down after events.
- Attending Shows all over the country and abroad up to 3 star level

**Skills**
- Strong animal care knowledge with experience in handling horses.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment repairs.
- Familiarity with gardening practices to maintain the facility grounds.
- Basic maths skills for record keeping and inventory management.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

The role includes subsidised independent accommodation.

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
