During an exciting period of growth, Kenny Waste Management are recruiting for a Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their growing finance team.
As our new Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for the purchase ledger process within the Company, including but not limited to, entering invoices; statement reconciliations; making payments via BACS; setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing accounts. Query resolution and resolving issues. Supporting other members of the purchase ledger department.
This role is based within a fast paced and growing Finance department and as a senior member of the purchase ledger team you will be responsible for maintaining the purchase ledger, supporting junior staff. So strong experience in purchase ledger is essential as is an eye for detail.
**PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES**
1. Inputting of all purchase invoices across the different aspects of the Company.
2. Responsible for ensuring all invoices are coded to the correct nominal codes.
3. Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details.
4. Chasing suppliers for statements and reconciling accounts.
5. Working with customers and suppliers to reach accurate contra figures.
6. Making payments and issuing remittances.
7. Query resolution with suppliers and maintaining records.
8. Dealing with any queries regarding the ledger in a timely manner.
9. Assisting the Finance Manager with any reports relating to the Purchase Ledger.
10. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
11. Supporting junior members of the purchase ledger team.
12. Any other duties appropriate to your role.
**EXPERIENCE**
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with Purchase Ledger.
- Experience with Sage Accounting software.
- Excel experience
Desirable:
- Experience with financial reports.
- Managing a small team.
- Knowledge of book-keeping and relevant accounting procedures.
