**Location**:Lincoln with some flexibility of working from home
**Temporary**: Expected to last 3 months with possible extension
**Duration**:Expected to last 3-6 months with possible extension
**Hours per week**: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
**Salary**: Depending on experience
- **Band 6** £22.80 per hour (Umbrella) or £19.38 per hour (PAYE inclusive of holiday pay)
- **Band 7** £26.70 per hour (Umbrella) or £22.70 per hour (PAYE inclusive of holiday pay)
**Job Summary**
Our NHS client is looking for a Quality Performance and Improvement Lead to:
- Promote a culture of learning and quality improvement.
- To lead and drive delivery of the quality improvement, quality governance and quality performance through maintenance of appropriate assurance mechanisms.
- To work in partnership with divisional teams and corporate partners to provide a specialist resource to the trust relating to all areas of patient safety and quality.
**Skills/Experience/Knowledge required**:
- Experience working in the NHS at management level
- Proven experience and specialist knowledge across a broad range of quality improvement and clinical governance fields including clinical audit
- Knowledge and experience of using datasets for gathering and presenting complex information
- Experience of line management
- Experience of working within quality governance and patient safety.
- Able to analyse complex facts or situations, requiring interpretation, or comparison of a range of options. Ability to challenge and provide constructive and informed scrutiny and feedback.
- Thorough knowledge of Quality, Governance, Assurance, and improvement.
- Experience of leading and managing change management/quality improvement projects
- Work accurately, analysis and triangulate data and evaluate outcomes
- Post Graduate study at degree level / professional qualification or equivalent experience with some demonstrable experience in the area of quality improvement, quality governance, patient safety and the management of risk
- Knowledge or experience in related field to post graduate level or equivalent
**Role**:
- To work closely with service leads and clinical staff to implement clinical governance and quality improvement programmes to optimise the clinical care and patient experience, patient involvement - responding to a changing context
- Prepare regular reports and present updated complex quality information. Communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing, and use well-developed listening and influencing skills to work effectively across teams.
- Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis of all clinical governance and patient safety activities with a focus on risk and incident management data, identifying trends and areas of good practice, concerns and agreed actions to maintain safety andmitigate risk where possible
- Support the collation, analysis and evaluation of quality and safety data for assurance and improvement. Contribute to ensuring appropriate service standards and quality markers are incorporated into a quality and safety dashboard
- Facilitate the quality assurance and patient safety frameworks including professional enquiry, investigation, learning and improvements associated with patient outcomes and service development
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the quality resources and tools within the team
- Use quality improvement methodology to drive quality improvement projects, working with colleagues in clinical and non-clinical teams to facilitate implementation of action plans, quality impact assessment and outcomes
