We are excited to offer the opportunity to have a rewarding part time career as a school contract driver, on excellent rates of pay. We will give you the guidance you need to get your private hire license and both safeguarding and first aid training will be organised as you become a school contract driver.

If you are looking for a part-time driving position that could become full time if you want it to, then look no further. We also offer the opportunity to take people to airports and docks, to work different hours and travel to interesting places, as we do on day tours.

**We provide a licensed and fully expensed vehicle for you to use for this work.**

This is a self employed position and you will need to set yourself up as a private hire driver. We are a Dorset based and licensed operator. We are happy to provide you with the advice you need to get through the process and into this interesting, lucrative and rewarding line of work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate a private hire vehicle to transport goods or passengers
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Load / assist passengers as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle
- Complete necessary paperwork and logbooks accurately
- Ensure that a valid private hire license and school is held at any time
- Not to book holidays during term time

(To give 20 days notice when leaving)

**Skills**:

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a driver, or similar role would be an advantage
- Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including minibuses
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues
- Familiarity with safeguarding and/or fist aid course, although full support is given on this
- A clean criminal record, as Enhanced DBS checks will be carried out

Part-time hours: 10 - 40 per week

**Salary**: £15.00-£23.00 per hour
