Job Title: Information and Advice Officer
Hours: 35 hours per week Monday - Friday plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings

**Salary**: £22,000 per annum

Location: South Tyneside
We are currently recruiting on behalf ofAge Concern Tyneside South (ACTS). A registered charity which promotes the wellbeing of older people living in South Tyneside, improving their quality of life and helping them maintain their independence.
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated Information and Advice Officer. This post will work within the Information and Advice Team, with a particular focus on working with clients with issues with debt and providing advice and guidanceto help them manage their debt.
You will provide support to older people with issues that arise, including financial difficulties, ill health, living arrangements and care needs. You will work with clients to develop and monitor effective support plans, enabling to resolve their issues, effectivelymanage life changing events, and maintain their independence.
You will need demonstrable experience of working in Information and Advice, including debt management. You must have knowledge of the welfare benefits system, understanding of the issues facing older people and have experience of delivering excellent customerservice. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills with a track record of keeping accurate records.
