Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with a specialist manufacturing business who are the market leader within their industry. This well-established business has dominated their industry and continually focused on providing high levels of qualitycustomer service and reinvesting significant funds into their manufacturing facilities and technology, which has allowed them to remain the market leader.
The business requires a Manufacturing Accountant to help support and join their experienced finance team, and will ideally suit an ambitious and driven individual, looking to start a successful and long-term career in finance.
The role will report into the Finance Manager and will support in a variety of aspects within the finance team such as month end, reporting, budgeting, and business partnering and will allow the individual to gain as much expose as possible and to strengthentheir knowledge within finance alongside their ACCA/CIMA studies.
This is a progressive role with great potential to develop whilst working with a passionate and market leading business.
Responsibilities include:
*Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and reports
*Assisting in preparing annual budgets and monitoring performance in conjunction with management team
*Producing key weekly reports including direct labour costing and material usage variances
*Daily efficiency reporting to factory leadership highlighting factory performance
*Ensuring that standard material and labour costs are maintained
*Proactively identifying and rectifying cost efficiencies and process improvement
*Business partnering with factory leadership team and providing clear ad-hoc reporting to help drive improvements in the business
*Monitoring accounting records and internal controls
*Sales ledger
*Any ad-hoc tasks appropriate to the role
