Kennel Assistant

**Overview**

**Duties**:

- Assist in the daily care and monitoring of animals in the kennels
- responsibility for other staff on shift
- Exercising animals individually
- Feed, water, and exercise animals according to schedules
- Clean and disinfect kennels, and animal areas
- Monitor animal behaviour and report any concerns to veterinary staff
- Interact with pet owners, checking in dogs and cats coming in to the kennels and cattery and provide excellent customer service
- responsibility for medication and general admin

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a kennels setting is desirable, especially as a team leader.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when needed
- Strong passion for animal care and welfare
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- must be able to drive as no public transport nearby

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00-£13.94 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
