- We are looking for a highly organised individual with a strong customer focus and a genuine commitment to work to consistently high standards. Experience of working with older people and/or people with disabilities is desirable. You must be able to communicate effectively with a wide and varied customer base and demonstrate knowledge of welfare rights/benefits, financial assessments, Sefton's Disabled Facilities Grant/loan conditions, systems, processes and procedures to support a busy office, private sector housing programmes, and disabled adaptations. Proficiency in interrogating IT systems/databases including Flare Database and Agresso is also required.
- What the Job Involves
- This role offers £18.55 per hour for a 36-hour week over 5 days. The main work base is Magdalen House, but the job primarily involves working from home with occasional office access. The successful applicant will provide a Borough-wide service to all customers, engaging in internal and external liaison with various parties. Key responsibilities include producing formal approval of Disabled Facilities Grant costs, generating purchase orders and invoices, carrying out means testing, initiating payments via Agresso, managing workload to meet deadlines/targets, dealing with legal enquiries related to grant loan repayments, and handling all aspects of the administration of housing grants/loans from initial referral to the completion of works.
