**Engineering Team Lead, Ferndown, £55,000**

**The Purpose of this role**:
As **Engineering Team Lead**, in this brand-new role for this specialist engineering manufacturer you'll be primarily responsible for leading on all projects across NPI as the company embarks on a substantial period of growth.

As Engineering Team Lead **your responsibilities** will include:

- Ensuring that the **strategic objectives and outcomes** of the business are clearly translated into clear **goals and objectives** within the engineering team
- Project leading on developing designs that will allow **business growth** in terms of **functionality, manufacturability and quality**:

- Defining and developing **procedures and policies** for the design department in line with compliance and **ISO standards**:

- Assisting with effective new **product development** and project implementation as required by **working with other departments**:

- **Managing direct reports**, providing continuous improvement of the staff through mentoring and **training & development programmes**

**Experience & Skills**:

- Degree level qualification in an **engineering related discipline** (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrable understanding of **AutoCAD, Solidworks** or a similar computer aided design package
- Innovative design skills in **Electro-Mechanical mechanisms**:

- Experience working as a **leader** in a **design engineering** manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of **measurement processes, FMEA, FEA and FAIR**:

- Strong **analytical, reporting and numeracy skills**:

- Excellent **communication**& organisational skills
