We are seeking a passionate, creative, and knowledgeable Photography Tutor to deliver engaging, hands-on photography and storytelling sessions as part of our Creative Summer Club.

Running across 4 weeks this August, this project gives children aged 6-16 the chance to explore creativity in a fun, safe, and inspiring environment. You will lead sessions that introduce young participants to photography, basic videography, and creative storytelling through digital and visual media.

This is a temporary, fixed-term position — ideal for photographers, educators, or creatives who enjoy working with children and young people.

We are currently looking for reliable, committed, experienced, photographers and videographers (in different types of photography) with a passion for their art to become Course Tutors at our school.

We are a school for Fashion and Arts based in Aylesham, Canterbury. Our school, Kent School of Fashion, teaches creative art and fashion courses ranging from sewing, pattern-making, photography, painting, and more to students online and in our school.

- **Key Responsibilities**
- Plan and deliver 2 engaging photography-based workshops each week (approx. 10 hours/week)
- Introduce children to photography concepts (framing, lighting, storytelling)
- Guide creative exercises using cameras, tablets or mobile devices
- Support children to create final creative outputs (photo series, storyboards, or short videos)
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with the wider summer club team and support staff
- Set up and pack down equipment, with care and supervision
- **Requirements**
- Proven experience as a photographer or creative practitioner -Friendly, patient, and confident communication skills - Ability to adapt teaching to suit different learning styles and age groups - Must be available 2 days in a week, throughout August - Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one before start date) - Safeguarding awareness and commitment to child safety **Desirable (but not essential)** - Experience in videography, digital storytelling or mobile content creation
- Experience working with children or young people in educational or community settings **Project Dates** - August 2025, with an opportunity for a retainer in Summer 2025 and 2027. - Sessions will take place between 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM - Approx. 10 hours of delivery per week, plus brief prep and setup time

**Job Types**: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 1 month

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 10 per week
