**Locum Recovery Worker - Substance Misuse (Birmingham)**
**Pay Rate: £20 - £24 per hour**
Seven Criminal Justice is seeking a dedicated and skilled Recovery Worker to join a busy and dynamic team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to support individuals as they navigate their recovery journey from substance misuse, mental health challenges, and related issues.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assess and develop tailored care plans for young people addressing substance misuse issues.
- Work directly with young people and their families, including those identified by the Youth Offending Team (YOT).
- Provide specialist consultation to professionals requiring expert advice or support.
- Collaborate with partners across statutory and third-sector organisations to deliver comprehensive services.
- Deliver accessible, evidence-based advice, information, and support related to substance misuse.
- Facilitate both individual interventions and group work programmes tailored to service users’ needs.
- Uphold safeguarding and confidentiality in all interactions and casework.
**Requirements**:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience supporting individuals with substance misuse, mental health challenges, or related conditions.
- A thorough understanding of addiction, recovery processes, and safeguarding principles.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling engagement with individuals, families, and multi-agency professionals.
- Experience using case management systems and producing high-quality reports.
- A genuine commitment to making a positive impact on individuals’ recovery journeys.
