An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic support worker to join the Home Treatment team in West Dorset offering support to a range of clients experiencing acute mental health difficulties.

They would be expected to provide support for carers and service users accessing the Home Treatment Service and to carry out assigned tasks as identified by the registered nursing staff in relation to patient needs.

The Support workers give time to individuals to promote their recovery and assist them to remain in the least restrictive environment whilst they recover.

Staff are supported to develop their skills and progress in their role through training and supervision.

To support clients within their own homes and the Weymouth Recovery House.

To Support the Qualified staff in the provision of care to a range of clients.

To give information and signpost clients to access help in daily living needs.

Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
