**National Grid is hiring a **Transformation Strategy Lead** for our Infrastructure Development & Delivery department in Warwick.**

**About the role**:
Reporting to the Head of Performance Delivery, the Transformation Strategy Lead works closely as part of a ‘working team’ to define, structure, manage and support delivery of the transformation portfolio for a transformational ‘shift’ within Infrastructure Development & Delivery.

A hands-on role, the Transformation Strategy Lead provides support to the ‘working team’ requiring strong collaboration, planning, and execution skills. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in team environments, enjoys tackling challenges, and is passionate about driving positive change.

**What you'll do**:

- Support in developing and documenting the transformation portfolio - including:
Target end state vision & outcomes
Key success factors / measures and KPIs
Transformation plan and associated milestones
Risks & key interdependencies
- Provide expert risk-based transformation expertise, support, and oversight to assigned capability ‘shift’ / transformation initiative(s)
- Provide productive challenge to the programme delivery team, ensuring that delivery (plan and execution) is effective and aligned to the intended outcomes of the ‘shift’ / initiative(s).
- Provide temporary and targeted direct support at the initiative level to help structure scope, value case, develop the delivery plan, or design/progress the solution - with ownership still firmly with the business lead
- Work in partnership with the assigned PMO / Programme Lead on the delivery of the transformation plan - including ensuring the PMO / Programme Lead fully understands the benefits case, that appropriate KPIs are being tracked, and ensuring that the correct governance and processes are being instilled to enable efficient delivery of the ‘shift’ / initiative(s).
- Support in the provision of reporting / insight / narrative on the progress of the transformation programme against key outcomes.

**About you**:

- Self-starter, able to identify areas to where can add value, structure work needed and proactively deliver
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; can break problems into root causes, drivers and translate into tangible actions
- Experience in change management and complex programme management
- Demonstrated ability to clearly structure and manage projects independently and across others
- Strong communication skills: Both written (Powerpoint & word) and verbal with an ability to get to the key insights and recommendations clearly and effectively at multiple levels
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate and influence up to senior levels
- Experience in Electricity Transmission or related utilities is a plus, but not a pre-requisite
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience

- Salary of £61,000 - £71,000 dependent on capability.
