**Why are we recruiting Casual staff?**

The HICA Group have opportunities for dedicated, hardworking, and caring individuals who are keen to make a positive difference to the lives of our residents.

Our Casual team are important to us as they help to cover gaps in the rota whether this be due to absence, holidays or increased occupancy and relieve pressure on our existing care team.

**What does Casual mean?**

Your hours may vary week to week depending on availability, however we will always try and offer regular hours where possible.

You will receive the same induction and training as our employees, whilst being supported by our friendly and experienced colleagues.

Experience is not required, however if you have worked in a care setting previously this would be advantageous.

These are ideal opportunities to gain experience, without committing to a fixed number of hours and gives you the flexibility to work as little or as often as you like.

You will support our residents with everyday tasks such as personal care, mealtimes, and social activities, whilst promoting independence, dignity, respect. You will also keep care plans updated, and work as part of a team to ensure the highest standards of care are met.

All that we ask in return, is that once you have joined our Casual register, you keep us up to date with your availability, so that we can efficiently and effectively provide cover for our services where required.

**About us**:
The HICA Group is a ‘Not for Profit’ organisation providing a range of care services to elderly clients and people with learning difficulties, across a range of services, including our care homes, residential settings and in the community.

- Full and part time hours available with paid breaks
- Starting rate of pay is £10.00 (Night staff receive an enhancement) with an added retention bonus (further details below)
- Here at the Lodge, we are looking for caring passionate individuals to join our ever-growing team
- Full training is provided so if you are new to the care sector, we will help you start your journey in care.

**About Us**

The Lodge is our purpose-built dementia care home in Buckshaw Village. There are four different communities within The Lodge, each dedicated to delivering care in line with individual needs and requirements.

Our innovative, self-contained Market Square is at the centre of our communities, which is home to our café, cinema, hairdressing salon and courtyard garden and provides the focus for our regular activity program.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £10.00-£10.80 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
