Picker and Packer

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Pack products securely for shipping, ensuring that all items are protected during transit.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure that all packed items meet company standards.
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels effectively.
- Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
- Assist in picking orders accurately based on customer requirements.
- Maintain an organised work area, keeping tools and materials in designated locations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of packing tasks.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or packaging materials to supervisors.

**Requirements**:

- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding packing machinery and equipment.
- Experience with warehouse management systems is preferred to facilitate efficient operations.
- Strong skills in materials handling, with an emphasis on safety protocols during lifting and moving of goods.
- Familiarity with quality control processes to ensure high standards are maintained throughout the packing process.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with a focus on maintaining personal safety and the safety of others.
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial, particularly in shipping and receiving roles.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail in all tasks undertaken.

Pay: From £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
