We are seeking a hard working team player with exceptionally high standards, a keen eye for detail and a customer service focus to take up the role of **Housekeeping Assistant.**

Reporting to the Building Manager, your role is varied and interesting as you will be responsible for ensuring high levels of cleanliness throughout the building and providing front of house customer service support when needed. You will be responsible for:

- The highest standards of cleanliness in all public spaces, common rooms and corridors within the given timeframe
- Ensure the external spaces are clean and tidy of litter
- Report any faults to the maintenance team
- Ensure all cleaning products are ordered and stored safely and securely at all times
- Achieving and exceeding our student satisfaction score
- Comply with our Health and Safety policy
- Work closely with the Building Manager to ensure the cleaning process of all the rooms during the changeover period
- Assist on the front desk when the Building Manager is unavailable, with general student questions, answering the phone and collecting parcels from couriers and handing them to students (full training given). Basic receptionist duties.
- You will also assist during holiday cover with the front desk/reception duties and general accommodation checks (full training given)
- We would also like you to chat to the students and be a friendly face and someone they can talk to should they need to reach out
- Previous experience as a Housekeeper or Cleaner
- Experience within student accommodation or hotel/hospitality is preferred but not essential
- Customer service experience preferred by not essential
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times
- An interest in our students mental health, by taking the time to stop for a chat, talk about the events taking place in the building, and if needed make suggestions of how to help them if further assistance is required (training will be given)
- Computer literate preferred as you will have access to our computer systems and will need to be able to navigate around it (training given)

Part-time hours: 25 hours per week
