**Salary:**:Set in the heart of Manchester Central our Dean Street offices are a 2 min walk from Manchester Piccadilly station. Manchester is a vibrant & bustling city where construction is thriving.

Midgard is the main contracting division of the +£600m turnover JRL Group and utilises all the company's in-house resources and facilities to provide clients with a bespoke construction service. We have gone back to the time when contractors carried out work themselves with a dedicated, reliable workforce and their own fleet of plant and equipment.

Due to continued growth we are seeking to recruit a **Head of Planning to cover our northern region** to join our team. **This will cover Manchester & Birmingham.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the planning function, which involves creating and managing project schedules at a detailed design level through to construction phase.
- Maintain and process information from different entities and coordinate in a controlled process.
- Input into programme and departmental governance and assurance requests for planning data.
- Work closely with project teams, sub-contractors and financial entities to maintain accurate and up to date data for different stages of projects.
- Produce detailed internal and client progress reports.
- Marking up drawings with pour layouts / site logistics using both Microsoft Powerpoint and Bluebeam Revu.

**Requirements**:

- Proficient in the use of ASTA, MS Project, Primavera and Microsoft Office and similar products to create and maintain schedules.
- Good understanding of the construction industry and processes, from the design stage through to completion of the projects.
- Ability of managing multiple projects and one time at differing stages
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
- Experience with working in construction industry tight/ diverse programming environments.
- Ideally be degree qualified.
