Nursery Third in Charge

The Hammersmith Day Nursery & Pre School are looking for a Third in Charge to join their team. We are located in Richford Gate and are in walking distance from Hammersmith Underground. This role is 40 hours per week, working varying shift patterns between 7.30am-6.30pm with a salary starting from £25,000 per annum. You will need to assist management in providing the highest standard of compliance, care and education for children, and effectively manage daily operations of the nursery, including positive partnerships with staff and parents.

**Main responsibilities include**:

- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
- Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Communicate with impartiality and consistency, respecting parent/carers’ expectations and seek guidance from management if in doubt
- Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
- Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency
- Inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice

**Requirements and skills**:

- Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification
- Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years
- Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements
- Over 1 year’s experience of working in a senior position
- Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding
