**Note**:The current government funding for this role is from the Economic Crime (Anti-Money Laundering) levy Regulations. At the time of advertisement, funding has not been confirmed by HM Treasury for financial year 2026/27 onwards, however with this funding being by act of parliament we feel confident that funding will continue beyond this financial year for several years to come. It is expected that at the point a final offer is made, we would be able to confirm the length of contract beyond this financial year

**About the team**

The National AMLAR Intelligence Development team will be responsible for the national analysis and dissemination of intelligence to the relevant geographical area of actionable intelligence to pursue offenders, bring them to justice and to pursue other money laundering outcomes such as civil recovery outcomes.

This team will be a central point of contact to support regional economic crime units, proactive economic crime units and force ECUs in obtain money laundering outcomes from the analysis of national databases.

**About the role**

The successful applicant will be an FI within the new National Anti-Money Laundering Asset Recovery (AMLAR) Intelligence Development Team working alongside a team of intelligence professionals.

They will represent NLF interests within the ongoing delivery and design of the National AMLAR IDT. To ensure successful delivery of the National AMLAR IDT with NLF resource represented and processes designed that complement existing City of London Police teams and services, including Action Fraud.

The postholder will provide effective financial investigation or financial intelligence development as required in relation to anti money laundering and asset recovery.

**Responsibilities**

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Ensuring criminally derived assets are forfeited in accordance with legislation and policy.
- Working in partnership with other agencies to prepare, submit and complete case files which may include attending court and presenting evidence and evidential statements.
- Working co-operatively with team members and colleagues, contributing positively and constructively.
- Maintaining personal responsibility for gathering, recording, storing, accessing and sharing of information in compliance with policy, procedures and legislation
- Obtaining orders and warrants in accordance with appropriate legislation and policy.

**Requirements**:
For this role, we need you to:

- Be an accredited Financial Investigator (this should be active)
- Have proven experience of financial investigation and confiscation
- Have experience of cash seizure and asset recovery investigation
- Have knowledge of relevant investigation policies and legislation, i.e. Proceeds of Crime Act
- Have experience of evidence and evidential statement preparation
