Warehouse Operative
£21,500 per annum
Pertemps - Burton are currently recruiting for a warehouse operative on behalf of our client who are a manufacturer of industrial pumps based in Burton Upon Trent.
The warehouse operative duties will include:
- Working with the warehouse manager to maintain and improve the efficient delivery service to customers.
- Assisting with deliveries and pickups to ensure quality and quantity of products.
- Loading and unloading materials and supplies using available hand trucks, forklift trucks and cranes.
- Recording deliveries and pick ups.
- Maintaining inventory records and tracking system.
- Rotating stock as needed and making appropriate places for storage.
- Ensuring proper recording of outgoing materials.
- Good housekeeping skills to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Maintaining efficient despatch of products and returns.
- Manual handling of heavy pumps etc
The successful warehouse operative will have the following skills/experience:
- Knowledge of inventory control and warehousing procedures.
- A Valid driving license
- Valid forklift counterbalance and reach licenses.
- Experience with systems and be computer literate
- Be able to work independently and as part of a small team
The warehouse operative will work full time 38.75 hours, Monday-Thursday 8.30am-5pm and Friday 8am-4.30pm.
This is a permanent postiton.
