Yardperson in The Waste Water Industry

We are currently looking to employ a full time and experienced Yardperson within the sewage industry, working in East Anglia, living in a 10 mile radius of Ipswich. Binder Ltd supply, install, maintain and empty sewage treatment plants and pumping stations.

**General yard duties, including, but not limited to**:

- Unloading & loading deliveries, manually and with the use of lifting machinery including forklift, lorry loading crane & excavator
- Collecting materials
- Loading, securing, and delivering mixed loads to customers & internal work sites on a variety of vehicles
- Assist in the management of waste, including taking treatment plant screenings & fibreglass waste to landfill
- Taking plastics, metals, etc for recycling
- Tidying and general house keeping
- Mixing and construction a variety of precast concrete products
- Assist on site as required
- To follow instruction provided by the Line Manager and Customer
- To communicate effectively with Line Manager on work progress
- To follow procedures and carry out work in accordance with method statements and risk assessments
- To assist with the installation of wastewater systems and drainage solutions
- To work effectively as part of a team, meet installation deadlines and customer requirements
- To understand your working procedures and ensure you keep up to date with company policy and procedures you are provided with
- To attend training at the request of your Line Manager
- To be responsible for the cleanliness and organisation of the site/yard
- To be responsible for the cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle
- To report vehicle defects
- At all times work safely, ensuring your own safety and that of others
- At all times work within all Company procedures and protocols
- Undertake other duties as reasonably requested by the Company
- Employ effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Establish effective relationships with clients and fellow team members
- Work methodically and accurately
- Work well on own initiative and as part of a team
- Multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively
- Be flexible to meet deadlines
- Remain calm when under pressure
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude
- Have Basic IT Skills.

**To be trained and certificated in the following**:

- Hold a full clean UK driving licence, including C1
- CPCS/CSCS card
- Driver CPC & Driver Card
- Excavator 360/180
- Forklift

**Salary**: £27,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus scheme
- Yearly bonus

Licence/Certification:

- Driver CPC (required)
