**About the role**

As a Recovery Housing Support Worker, you will provide housing and recovery support for people who have a history of failed accommodation, substance and/or alcohol misuse, issues with mental health, criminality, and often challenging and negative behaviours.

You will provide a range of interventions to support individuals in their recovery journey as well as provide practical hands on tenancy support including supporting people to move onto independent living.

You will be required to work flexibly on a rota basis covering evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays. You will be required to have access to your own vehicle and be able to travel in and around Birmingham including in the clean air zone.

All Support Workers receive an in-depth induction and training package to provide you with the skills you need to support people in our houses.

**About you**

We are looking for approachable, warm, empathetic, and fun people who have a passionate for helping others and instigating change. You will also have:

- Housing management experience, or similar experience of working in a residential setting with those with a history of substance misuse.
- An excellent understanding of boundaries, confidentiality, and risk.
- Excellent all-round communication skills and the ability to manage relationships.
- IT skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office Applications.
