NVQ2 or 3 in Pharmacy required.

PRINCIPLE PURPOSE: To help our patients and customers stay healthy and feel better by giving excellent care & advice. To be a member of the pharmacy team working with colleagues in the spirit of the Day Lewis core values. To fulfil all regulatory responsibilities associated with being a registered professional. To support the pharmacist to ensure that all elements of the dispensing process are efficient and safe. To drive NHS & private services that are available to be offered from the pharmacy. KEY ATTRIBUTES: Patient and Pharmaceutical Care **Seeks ways to improve professional practice to benefit patient care ** Uses appropriate questioning to obtain relevant information from a patient, referring where appropriate **Identifies problems relating to a patient’s medication and takes appropriate action to resolve or refer any identified problems ** Ensures the provision of medicinal products is conducted in line with legislation and best practice **Provides appropriate medicines information and patient education Professional Practice ** Promotes effective communication and professionalism personally and within the team **Appropriately prioritises work, using their time efficiently ** Understands the importance of clinical and information governance as part of their everyday role **Works effectively as part of the team, recognising the value of other members of the team ** Recognises and works within their own bounds of competence **Is open and honest in their actions and those of others Personal Practice ** Can access information from appropriate sources, ensuring up to date knowledge is maintained **Can discuss mechanisms of action, side effects and interactions of medicines ** Uses logical methodology to investigate a medicines or practice issue to improve patient care **Provides information in an accurate, relevant and timely manner**
