Fabricator/welder

**Overview**
We are a fabrication company seeking a skilled and motivated Fabricator/Welder to join our growing team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a strong background in metalwork, who takes pride in both the creative and technical aspects of fabrication.

You'll be involved in turning design concepts into high-quality, finished components. A strong eye for detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings are essential. You'll also have opportunities to grow your skills, including learning how to operate a variety of fabrication machinery particularly press brake operations, which play a key role in our forming process.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to fabricate and assemble metal components.
- Carry out MIG, TIG, and other welding processes to a high standard.
- Operate and maintain a press brake, ensuring accurate bending and forming of sheet metal parts.
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and finish materials as required.
- Perform quality checks throughout the fabrication process to meet internal and client standards.
- Keep a clean, organised, and safe workspace in line with health and safety guidelines.
- Troubleshoot issues and contribute to continuous improvement of workflows.

**Experience & Skills**
- Experience in sheet metal and section fabrication is important; however, we welcome applicants with a genuine passion for fabrication and a willingness to learn.
- Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Familiarity with operating fabrication machinery, including press brakes, or a desire to learn.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Basic numeracy skills for accurate measurements and calculations.

Our workshop is located on Marsh Barton, making it easily accessible via motorway, rail, and bus links.

Workshop hours: 06:00 - 14:30

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
